MODEL AIRCRAFT CLUB LTD
CONSTITUTION 1967 (Amendment 3 April 2005)
The aims of the High Wycombe Model Aircraft Club are to promote all branches of model aircraft activity.
SECTION ONE CONSTITUTION
This section deals with the constitution and can only be amended at the annual general meeting or at an extraordinary general meeting.
1. An annual general meeting will take place every year, preferably in October.
The following events will take place at the annual general meeting:-
(a) To receive retiring officers’ reports.
(b) To elect all officers and committee members for the year commencing.
(c) To receive propositions for rule changes in section one of the rule book.
(d) To consider any other business of an annual general meeting nature.
(e) The incoming committee will, at its first meeting, discuss the fees and if necessary the third party insurance, and will then put its recommendations to the club members at the next full club meeting for discussion and resolution.
2. Extraordinary General Meeting.
This type of meeting can be called at any time either by the committee or by 10% of the club members. For the latter, the secretary must receive the request in writing signed by the members. Notice of an extraordinary general meeting must be received by members at least seven days before. The rules for this meeting are the same as for the annual general meeting.
3.(a) All voting at the annual general meeting will be decided on a simple majority. In the event of a tie, the Chair Person will have the deciding vote.
(b) At least 25% of the members must be present at the annual general meeting. If insufficient members are present another meeting must be called as soon as possible.
(c) Members attending the club annual general meeting will be entitled to a 15% reduction in club fees for the following year.
4. Club officers shall consist of the following:-
Chair Person - Secretary - Treasurer
Plus a maximum of eight committee members whose duties are to be specified.
5. All members are to be joined to the British Model Flying Association.
6. Classes of membership to follow the classes as laid down at the time by the British Model Flying Association.
